Organic foods created exactly as nature intended are good for you: A study from the University of Washington found that children who ate mainly organic produce had far lower levels of pesticides in their bodies than children who ate conventionally grown fruits and vegetables. Once tricky to find, organic foods and products are now just a few clicks away, via the Internet.
Good to know: The USDA Certified Organic seal signifies products that are 100 percent organic or contain at least 95 percent organic ingredients. Products at least 70 percent organic can be labeled “made with organic ingredients” and list up to three ingredients on the package but can’t use the USDA seal.
